Travels in 2001

Ah, 2001, what a great year of traveling for me this was. Apart from the fact that at this point I'd been living in Taiwan for a year and a half, I had the opportunity to visit Sonia in Costa Rica and while I was in the neighbourhood dropped in on Jaime Roque in Los Angeles, and we took a road trip over the border to Mexico.

As if that wasn't enough, I had my return tickets back to the UK via Thailand and Dubai.

What's more is that when in the UK I had no ticket to go back to Taiwan, so I planned to head back to Asia overland, as much as I could, visiting Sigvald Homman in Sweden taking the ferry to Estonia and passing through Lithuania and Byelorus on my way to meet Susanne Palm in Ukraine then travelling together through Uzbekistan and Kazahkstan to Western China then making a solo trip again to Taiwan via Hong Kong.
